Silver Wind

The Silver Wind was launched in 1995, the second ship to join the Silversea fleet. Since then, she has traversed the globe and travelled to some of its farthest corners, her small size allowing her to navigate some of the most exotic and untouched ports. Refurbished over 2008 in time for a 2009 launch, the Silver Wind epitomises six-star luxury.

The small size of the Silver Wind does not detract from the luxury experience, on the contrary guests benefit from more space than they would be afforded on a larger ship, with the largest space-to-guest ratio of any fleet. Only 298 like-minded guests can be accommodated at any one time.

This elite vessel provides the extreme luxury as would be normally seen on a private yacht. Every suite on board enjoys a panoramic sea view, and provides a sumptuous private space. 80% of the suites on board have their own private verandahs, perfect sleek teak spaces to enjoy breakfast and the view of the next destination approaching.

On board, guests enjoy the freedom of choice to do nothing or anything. The beauty salon provides a complete pampering service, to allow you ultimate relaxation. The pool on deck is the perfect place to spend an afternoon whiling away time, perhaps with a book from the library. Mealtimes are exquisite, with fine Italian dining the speciality, paired with superb wines.

In the evenings, the luxurious atmosphere pervades the ship, with concerts in the Show Lounge, live piano music in the bar, dancing below deck, films on deck in the evening, and much more besides. There are also lectures from distinguished guest speakers, and wine tasting evenings from specialists.
