Saga’s chief operating officer Nigel Blanks said that “naming the suites with an original, British maritime theme was one goal but we also wanted to recognise our heritage and the important names in Saga Cruises’ own history.”
Two of Saga Cruises top suites are named The Rose Suite & The Ruby Suite, these take their names from the Saga Rose and Saga Ruby which were their first two ships. The two other top suites will be named The Sidney de Haan Suite named after the founder of Saga Cruises, and also The Joseph Meyer Suite to celebrate the new relationship between Saga and the Meyer Werft Shipyard.
Blanks added “Our suites will enjoy butler service and will be among the finest afloat, each with its own character and personality, sumptuous furnishings, fabrics, and fittings as well as bespoke artwork. At 730sq ft The Sidney de Haan and The Joseph Meyer Suite will feature separate living rooms plus bathrooms to impress with twin sinks, a shower, and separate bathtub.”
