Silversea’s latest luxury cruise ship, Silver Muse, has been delivered today, as the ship has now been completed and is ready to welcome passengers onboard.

The delivery took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa. The spectacular ceremony was attended by the Archbishop of Genoa; His Eminence Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, the chairman of Silversea Cruises; Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, and the CEO of Fincantieri; Giuseppe Bono.

Silver Muse consists of less than 300 suites and will provide guests with an intimate, elegant and sophisticated experience. The ship accommodates 596 passengers and despite the small size of the ship, it boasts exceptional space and comfort. Each suite has a generous amount of space, this is especially the case if you travel with family or friends as suites can be connected together. The new ship will offer 8 unrivalled restaurants for guests who want to choose from a wide range of culinary options. The combination of award-winning cuisine and a relaxing ambience provides the most comprehensive dining experience at sea.

Silversea chairman, Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, has commented: “Since the laying of the keel in December 2015, Silversea and Fincantieri have been working closely together to produce one of the finest ships to leave this shipyard and we look forward to welcoming our first guests onboard. On behalf of everybody at Silversea, I would like to thank Fincantieri for their tireless commitment to deliver Silver Muse to us on schedule and to such a high standard of craftsmanship.”

The Sovereign Cruise Club’s managing director, Stefan Shillito, will be visiting the ship this week to witness first-hand the sumptuous luxury and state-of-the-art technology that Silver Muse has to offer. Stefan will be sharing his views of the ship early next week, so please keep an eye out on the blog section on our website for this exciting new article.
