The ships will have six cabin categories, ranging from the 269sq ft Nordic Balcony cabins to a 1,448sq ft Owners Suite. To allow for extended explorations ashore each ship will carry Zodiacs, rib boats and kayaks.

The 260 strong crew will include an expedition leader, ice navigator, a biologist, glaciologist and a naturalist. The ships will initially sail in the Arctic and Antarctica regions.

Antarctic itineraries will also include a pre-cruise stay in Buenos Aires before boarding the ship in Ushuaia, Argentina. Arctic sailings will be round-trip from Tromso to Svalbard, Norway.

Each of the ships will have a Polar Class 6 hull, which will allow them to operate in the polar regions during the summer and autumn months.

Further details of these new vessels and the Viking expedition product will be announced early 2020, we will update our blog and website with more information as soon as this is available.
