Below is their blog of their time on board and their review of this glamorous new ship to join the Regent fleet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sovereigncruise.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/celo-7.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3264 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sovereigncruise.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/celo-7.jpg\" alt=\"celo 7\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sovereigncruise.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/celo-7.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.sovereigncruise.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/celo-7-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Regent Seven Seas Splendor 31\u00a0Jan to 03\u00a0Feb 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After a smooth flight from Heathrow we were greeted by a member of staff from Regent at Bologna airport. The embarkation process was very efficient, within 15 minutes of arriving at the port we were checked in and on the ship. The interior design of the atrium was purely breath taking. We could tell that every detail of the ship had hours of thought gone into it. It was purely stunning; Everything had its place, we could not fault it one bit. The colours were light and airy, along with marble and glossy walls, it all went so well together. We had been informed that there is over 500 gorgeous chandeliers around the ship.<\/p>\n<p>We were so excited to see our Splendor Suite so went off to find it straight away.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sovereigncruise.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/My-Post-35.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3265\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sovereigncruise.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/My-Post-35.png\" alt=\"My Post (35)\" width=\"600\" height=\"340\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sovereigncruise.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/My-Post-35.png 600w, https:\/\/www.sovereigncruise.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/My-Post-35-300x170.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When we first opened the door to our suite, we were completely mesmerised. The space, the interior design \u2013 everything was perfect. Our separate living area had a bottled of chilled champagne ready for us, along with a fully stocked fridge with soft drinks and beer. We also had a selection of spirits and a coffee machine. There were two metal water bottles as well which were complimentary \u2013 perfect to take with us on our excursion. Our table had chocolates, macaroons and fresh fruit waiting for us. As well as a large sofa and separate chair we also had a dining table with two chairs and a desk along with a huge TV. On our desk was a Bose speaker, binoculars and some complimentary items like eye masks, hand sanitiser etc. We then stepped onto our balcony which was huge. There was a day bed, sun lounger &amp; a table and chairs. Our bedroom was beautiful, our beds faced a large TV which had a selection of films and many other channels to give us updates with what\u2019s going on around the ship. We had a leather dressing table with a ring light which was perfect for us when we were getting ready for the evening. We also had the option of night lighting in our room which was a lovely touch. We also had control of the lights from both sides of the bed as well as the wall. Our bathroom was our absolute favourite part of the suite. We had a beautiful shower with a large ceiling shower head, a Jacuzzi bath which was incredibly relaxing, two sinks, bath robes and slippers and many different brands of body wash, bubble bath etc to choose from. It was the epitome of luxury. Another great point to make was that our suite was positioned right by the lifts which was convenient, yet we didn\u2019t hear any disruptions or noise from other guests at all. It was very well sound proofed. We also had a pillow menu, which was fantastic; We both tried out the water pillow.<\/p>\n<p>Just as we sailed away, they put on a block party which was fun and a great feature that we haven\u2019t experienced on any ship before. The officers, crew members and Regent directors\/staff went around to every deck and met everyone personally with a glass of Champagne. This was also a great way to meet your neighbours on board.<\/p>\n<p>We ate in Chartreuse, Compass Rose and Pacific Rim. All three restaurants were simply stunning, the Versace plates, crockery and cutlery in all three restaurants were beautiful. Again, the amount of choice on each menu made it so tricky on what to order and you just want to try it all. Compass Rose has the largest speciality menu at sea. For our experience we did order multiple mains and desserts. Cleo\u2019s favourite feature of the ship was the humongous, golden dragon which greeted you outside of the Pacific Rim restaurant. This was one of our favourite restaurants on the ship, Rose had one of the best Thai Chicken Curry\u2019s she\u2019d ever eaten, and still somehow managed to make room the Chinese ribs which fell off the bone. Cleo tried the sushi platter which featured octopus, tuna, salmon and many other types of fish. This isn\u2019t something she\u2019d usually go for so was a brilliant opportunity to try something different and she didn\u2019t regret it she loved it! In Chartreuse we both opted for the fillet mignon with an array of sides \u2013 it was cooked perfectly.\u00a0 The pool grill was one of our favourite places to eat during the day, although it was a buffet style, the crew members still served everything for you. You had the choice of different stations and then a menu you could order from as well. The ice cream and milkshakes were delicious. We had breakfast in La Veranda and had room service one morning. Again, you could never go hungry with the choice, they had speciality breakfast dishes each morning which you could reorder again even if it wasn\u2019t on the menu. Rose had the pancakes which were delicious.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sovereigncruise.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/My-Post-36.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3268\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sovereigncruise.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/My-Post-36.png\" alt=\"My Post (36)\" width=\"600\" height=\"340\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sovereigncruise.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/My-Post-36.png 600w, https:\/\/www.sovereigncruise.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/My-Post-36-300x170.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We weren\u2019t stuck with things to do on the ship; we took part in a backstage tour where we were told all about the hiring process for the performers which was insightful. They also showed us the dressing room which was full of glamorous costumes and wigs! Fun fact \u2013 all performers must undertake a weigh-in every 2 weeks! They cannot lose less or gain more than 5 pounds during their contracts. This ensures that the performers are the same people that they hired. Hats off to them, especially when they are surrounded by amazing food 24 hours a day. We also had white gloved afternoon tea served to us in the Meridian Lounge, which was perfect, along with a live band playing relaxing, jazzy music. We felt like we were in the Ritz. There was a selection of cakes, sandwiches and many different types of tea to choose from \u2013 so we went for the obvious decision and chose champagne. A lovey area is coffee connection, you can grab a coffee and some snacks whilst doing a puzzle and a new addition to this ship is the outside area where you can sit to enjoy your coffee whilst watching the world go by. In the evenings after we\u2019d had our dinner, one of our favourite places to go was the Splendor Lounge \u2013 it had stylish d\u00e9cor and lighting which created the perfect party atmosphere. It featured a DJ every night, a big dance floor &amp; a bar with a wide selection of drinks. Even though there was the bar to help ourselves to drinks, there was still servers walking around offering drinks to us. This was one of the main features we\u2019d like to point out, no matter where you are sat on the ship a member of staff will always find you and offer to get you a drink.<\/p>\n<p>All in all, the experience we had on board will stay with us forever, the ship was so stunning, the service was second to none, the choice of dining, drinks and entertainment was just excellent. The crew were incredible, some of the best service we have ever received, they couldn\u2019t do enough for you, especially our butler and suite steward. You wouldn\u2019t have thought it was their first sailing on the Splendor as they were all so professional and efficient. Although the ship is slightly larger than some of the ships in other fleets, it does have that intimate feeling but with lots to do on board.
