Cruises That Are Cancelled or Subject to a Significant Change

Our trusted cruise line partners are constantly assessing their upcoming sailings to ensure that they are operating in accordance with the latest advice from the relevant authorities and we in daily contact with them to give you the latest updates as and when they happen.

If your cruise is cancelled or a significant change is made to your cruise you will be contacted and provided with the alternative options available to you.

Refunds

We are very aware that some of our passengers have not received their refunds within the time scales that were originally advised by our cruise line partners.

To provide some context, our cruise line partners have never had to process tens of thousands of refunds in such a short period of time before. The current situation presented by Covid-19 is unprecedented. Having to cancel up to nine months of sailings across their entire fleets is not something that could be envisaged. Therefore, unlike airlines that have to regularly cancel thousands of passengers, for example due to weather or industrial actions, most of our cruise line partners have never had to have a sophisticated, fully automated refund system. So when it became apparent that such systems were now required, our cruise line partners had to promptly purchase, install and test these new automated refund systems and this has led to delays that both we and our cruise lines partners greatly regret.

Our number one priority at present is chasing these refunds to ensure that every valued Sovereign client receives their refund from their cruise line as soon as possible. Rest assured that we will not rest until all of our clients have received their refunds.

Below you will find the current cruise line cancellation policies and underneath each brand you will see a refund time frame. The first number of days displayed is the latest refund timescale given to us by that particular cruise line. If no other timeframe is shown, this indicates that in our experience this cruise line is meeting this time frame in most cases. If a second number of days is shown, this is our experience as to how long most, but not all, refunds are taking. We will update this information on a regular basis.

We have been advised that the vast majority of overdue refunds will take place over the next two weeks and on behalf of your cruise line we sincerely apologise for the delays involved.
