Crystal River Cruises offers a stunning fleet of state-of-the-art vessels transforming river travel with entirely new standards of true luxury and customized discovery.
The first luxury river cruise vessel, “Crystal Mozart” is now in service. This is following the purchase of the German built MS Mozart; the largest river cruise vessel in Europe which is double the width of an average industry river boat. This river yacht has been refitted to reflect “true luxury” and Crystal's award-winning service which is consistent across the Crystal fleet. This includes the largest guest suites and public spaces in the river cruise sector, as well as the highest crew-to-guest-ratio.
Crystal Mozart has been designed to access the wider locks of the Danube River from Passau in Germany to Budapest in Hungary. Despite being renovated by Crystal, the vessel has kept it's unique features such as the public area that spans a single level and exclusive amenities ranging from multiple dining rooms, a wrap-around promenade, a luxurious spa and fitness centre, an indoor swimming pool, beauty salon and a library.
Crystal's next two luxury river vessels, Crystal Bach and Crystal Mahler, have also entered service, with two more ships due for delivery next year. The new all-suite luxury river yachts will boast suites of 220 feet, deluxe suites of 250 square feet, a penthouse suite of 500 square feet and a two bedroom Crystal Suite of a whopping 750 square feet! In an industry first, all suites will offer king size beds, walk-in wardrobes and bathrooms with double vanities. These new river yachts will feature a Palm Court with dance floor and glass domed roof, a library, fitness centre, spa and sporting equipment including electric assisted bicycles, kayaks and jet skis. Two of the river cruise yachts will cruise the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers with 110 guests. In regards to the other two smaller vessels holding 84 guests, one will cruise the Seine river (“Crystal Ravel”) and the other the Garonne and Dordogne rivers (“Crystal Debussy”) as well as navigating through the Gironde Estuary.
A portion of each cruise will sail to the most picturesque rivers in central Europe, including stunning destinations such as Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and France. The vessels will visit these destinations in daytime hours to ensure that passengers obtain the most scenic views possible. This means that guests will be able to enjoy the nightlife in select ports of call with a variety of overnight stays on board. Crystal will offer guests the chance to have inclusive culinary experiences ashore at Michelin-starred restaurants and renowned local eateries, as well as exclusive evening events and entertainment reflecting the local culture.
Days spent in ports of call will consist of a selection of immersive Crystal Adventures and shore-side programmes called Active Exploration Adventures. Crystal is offering a complimentary active excursion for guests who desire a more high-intensity activity, this involves guests being able to explore the beautiful European landscapes whilst remaining fit and healthy. The Crystal Adventures sessions will also be enhanced by the addition of a fleet of luxury motor coaches, boasting business-class style seating, complimentary Wi-Fi and with knowledgeable local guides.
Whilst still appealing to the same audience, Crystal are looking to provide more diverse ways of travel as they also introduce their Crystal Luxury Air in Autumn 2017 and the Crystal Exclusive Class Ocean Cruises in late 2018. This will be a significant expansion to the luxury brand who have earned more “World's Best” accolades than any other cruise line, hotel, or resort in history.
