When it comes to cruising, Saga believe smaller is better. Beautifully boutique, their exclusive ships offer a uniquely British way to cruise, all without the need to fly. And unlike the larger cruise ships, you‘ll never feel crowded on Spirit of Adventure. With one member of staff to every two guests, there’s enough staff to deliver first class service throughout your time on board.
When it comes to how you spend your time on board, it‘s all about choice. Enjoy a range of fun activities and talks, pamper yourself in the spa, go for a swim, take your seat for shows in the theatre, or simply relax in the laid-back Britannia lounges. Whatever you want, you’ll be spoilt for choice, day and night.
So much to enjoy…
If you‘re not out exploring ashore or it’s a leisurely day at sea, you‘ll find so much to keep you entertained. Delivered to your cabin each evening, your daily programme details the next day’s events, all free of charge. This could include talks from special guest speakers, fun quizzes, classical recitals, matinee shows, craft and art classes, cookery demos, and a whole lot more.
Get active… or simply relax
Staying on the move is easy on board. Visit the hi-tech gym or golf simulator, attend one of the free fitness classes, enjoy a swim, or simply walk around the outside promenade for spectacular ocean views wherever you are in the world… four times around and you'll walk a mile! Prefer to take it easy? How about a relaxing session in the hydrotherapy pool and infrared sauna, followed by an indulgent afternoon tea and glass of fizz.
Boutique is… all-inclusive dining and drinks
In every restaurant, a choice of red, white, rosé and sparkling wines are available at lunch and dinner, at no extra charge, along with a selection of beers and soft drinks. It‘s just the start of the all-inclusive dining and drinks you’ll enjoy. Of course, all the bars also offer a fantastic selection of included soft and alcoholic drinks, even cocktails! Plus, you can enjoy free tea, coffee and snacks from other venues such as the Living Room and in the library. All at no extra charge.
A new world of flavours aboard Spirit of Adventure.
Spirit of Adventure's dazzling new eateries have doubled the selection of restaurants at sea. And while it is the industry norm to charge extra for speciality dining, Saga are delighted to be bucking the trend. Instead, all the ships restaurants are free to dine, with no extra supplements or surcharges to pay.
World-class dining every day
Both the Dining Room and Grill restaurants offer British and international cuisine at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The open seating dinner service means you can arrive when you like between 7 and 9 pm, and take your seat. It‘s a flexible and social way to dine, with dinner often stretching 5 or six courses, and always expertly prepared by Saga’s talented chefs.
Khukuri house, A new taste of the east
Spirit of Adventure introduces a world first, a Nepalese restaurant on the ocean wave, with fresh flavours that are light and beautifully spiced. Genuine tandoor ovens mean Saga's Chefs can create curried meat, fish and vegetable dishes along with authentic Nepalese flatbreads. Sagas hometown of Folkestone has strong links with the local Gurkha community, and Khukuri house is a nod to this history and heritage.
The Amalfi, high-end Italian cuisine
Spirit of Adventure's second speciality restaurant offers Italian style fine dining. Look forward to a mouth-watering menu of Mediterranean dishes. This includes family style sharing platters of anti-pasti along with pasta, risotto, parmigiana and arancina. Plus, a daily specials board to give in Amalfi Twist to locally sourced fish and meats purchased in port that day.
The Supper Club and live music
Spirit of Adventure also launches an exciting new Supper Club. Combining a premium international restaurant with a live entertainment venue, it even has a dancefloor. Open for pre-dinner drinks, expect relaxed dining throughout the evening, including live music and dinner theatre. Or arrive after your meal elsewhere on the ship to dance, enjoy the performances and socialise until late.
Relax in the Britannia Lounge
No Saga ship would be complete without a signature Britannia Lounge, and they‘re both exciting, multi-purpose venues where you’ll always find something to see and do. Double-height venues with panoramic windows, you can enjoy daytime activities and entertainment, or simply order a drink and relax while admiring the spectacular views. Later at night, they come alive with music for dancing and live performances.
More entertainment options
It does not end there. With so much to discover, your ship is actually like a destination in itself. You can meet up with friends and socialise in The Living Room or the Cape bars, grab a book and lose yourself in the stunning library, or visit the on-board shops selling tax-free luxury goods. Just some of the options available.
Take your seat at The Playhouse
Spirit of Adventure‘s Playhouse theatre has raked seating for over 440 guests means you’ll enjoy the best seat in the house wherever you sit, with unrestricted views of the stage. You can expect a quality entertainment experience, every night of your cruise. This includes West End-style shows, classical music performances, plays and cinema screenings.
