Crystal Cruises have announced that Crystal Symphony has completed her largest-ever refurbishment.
The large-scale refit of Crystal Symphony took place at Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven in Germany where it took a month to complete.
The luxury ship now showcases brand new venues with state-of-the-art features and new furnishings. There are new restaurants that have been added to Crystal Symphony, all of which boast open-seating and more tables of two and four, allowing for a more personal experience. The main Crystal Dining Room has been replaced with the Waterside which is a similar version of the Waterside restaurant that is found on Crystal River Cruises’ vessels.

A wide variety of other interior spaces have been refurbished whilst the ship was in dry-dock. This includes the Starlite Club that has seen a completely new design along with more technological enhancements. There is also a new production show called Crystal in Motion, which will debut on Crystal Symphony. The show will consist of different music and dance sequences that will be sure to entertain guests thoroughly. There will be numerous different acts which form part of the Crystal Ensemble, including a ballroom dance group, comedians and the Crystal Show Band.
Another venue that has been replaced is the Lido Café as it has made way for Marketplace (that operates during the daytime) and Churrascaria (that operates at night). Guests can choose from a wide range of dishes that are made to order. Additionally, Crystal have also added a Chinese-speciality venue called Silk Kitchen & Bar, which has been added next to the Trident Grill.
The existing culinary venues, Silk Road and The Sushi Bar have been transformed to offer popular dishes that have been influenced by famous chef Nobu Matsuhisa. The speciality dining venues have been renamed as Umi Uma & Sushi Bar and they are the only Nobu restaurants found at sea.
In regards to the state-of-the-art features that have been implemented, these include various enhancements that have been made to the technology in the staterooms and suites. Another major upgrade has been to the Wi-Fi as Crystal now provide unlimited Wi-Fi at no additional cost. This change to the Wi-Fi has been applied to all Crystal ships whether it is ocean, river or yacht vessels.
We look forward to seeing the new look for Crystal Symphony as she sails on to the Middle East followed by Africa for Christmas.
