Crystal has revealed two major milestones in the construction timeline of its first new ship in a quarter-century, marking a significant step forward under the ownership of Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group.
Scheduled for delivery by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri in May 2028, the newbuild represents a pivotal moment in the brand’s revitalization. Steel cutting is set to commence in May 2026, followed by the keel laying ceremony in December of the same year.

The vessel’s name will be announced in the near future. Further details, including inaugural voyage itineraries and newly designed suite categories, are expected to be unveiled by the end of the year. The inaugural 2028 season is anticipated to go on sale next spring, with a waitlist opening in advance.
