Four Seasons Yachts has announced the successful completion of the initial sea trials for Four Seasons I, the brand’s first purpose-built luxury yacht, which is currently in the final stages of construction at the Fincantieri shipyard.
The milestone marks a significant step forward in the development of the highly anticipated vessel, underscoring both the technical precision and craftsmanship invested in the project. According to the company, the results of the trials demonstrated the yacht’s ability to perform in line with design expectations across a wide range of operational parameters.

The trials were conducted over a five-day period in the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Ancona, Italy, near the Fincantieri shipyard. During this time, Four Seasons I underwent more than 60 comprehensive tests designed to assess the vessel’s performance, safety, and onboard systems. These evaluations covered propulsion and navigation, mechanical and electrical systems, safety protocols, environmental performance, and guest comfort systems. The program concluded with a six-hour endurance run at full power, a key benchmark in validating the yacht’s long-term operational capability.
Four Seasons Yachts stated that the successful outcomes of the trials confirmed the vessel’s technical integrity, operational stability, and overall seaworthiness. The company added that Four Seasons I met — and in some areas exceeded — the stringent performance and reliability standards expected of a luxury yacht in its class.
A second round of sea trials is scheduled to take place later this month, after which the yacht will proceed into its final outfitting phase. The vessel remains on track for its planned debut, marking Four Seasons’ official entry into the ultra-luxury yachting sector.
