Hugh Bonneville to Join Cunard as Caribbean Insight Speaker.

By Tony Mallinson

Cunard is thrilled to announce that acclaimed British actor Hugh Bonneville will join Queen Elizabeth this November as part of the line’s celebrated Insights Speaker programme.

Best known as Lord Grantham in Downton Abbey and the ever-charming Mr Brown in Paddington, the Emmy-nominated star will share stories from his remarkable career across stage and screen. Guests can look forward to an exclusive onboard Q&A where Hugh will reveal behind-the-scenes tales—from the stately halls of Highclere Castle to the marmalade mishaps of Windsor Gardens.

The celebrated actor will sail on Queen Elizabeth’s 12-night Eastern Caribbean voyage, departing Miami on 27 November and calling at Antigua, St Lucia, Barbados, St Maarten, and Tortola. Fares start from £1,049 per person for a Britannia Balcony stateroom.

Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Hugh on board. His talent, warmth, and wit make him a perfect addition to our Insights programme.”

Bonneville added: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be sailing with Cunard. There’s something timeless and romantic about travelling by sea, especially on a ship as elegant as Queen Elizabeth. I look forward to sharing a few stories—and perhaps a laugh or two—with fellow guests as we explore the Caribbean together.”

Fresh from her recent transformation, Queen Elizabeth now offers even more space to soak up the sun and stunning Caribbean views, alongside refreshed venues such as the Commodore Club, Queens Room, and Garden Lounge.
