Queen Victoria to add Britannia Club Staterooms

By Sovereign Cruise

Cunard Line’s luxury ship, Queen Victoria, will enter dry-dock in June 2017 for an extensive refurbishment. During this time, Queen Victoria will have an unspecified number of extra Britannia Club Staterooms added to the ship.

The reason for the increase in Britannia Club Staterooms is due to high passenger demand. Cunard Marketing Director, Angus Struthers commented: “The changes being made are a direct response to our discerning passengers increasing desire for space and style, and to meet their rising expectations of luxury.”

Cunard have already announced the refurbishment of their luxury flagship, RMS Queen Mary 2, which enters dry-dock between 27th May and 21st June. The “remastering” of Queen Mary 2 will see 30 more Britannia Club Staterooms and 15 new Single Staterooms being added, as well as a major refit of existing staterooms, suites, dining venues and lounges.

New designs for Queen Mary 2’s Queens Grill Duplex Apartment and Penthouse Suites were revealed by Cunard only a few days ago. Regarding Queen Mary 2’s refit, Angus Struthers commented: “Cunard was the innovator of the luxury suite category, and this remastering will further showcase the richness of ship’s stateroom design, intimate dining experiences and White Star service.”
