Scenic Group has announced the launch of Scenic Ikon, the latest addition to its prestigious fleet, which will embark on its inaugural season in April 2028.
This exceptional new Discovery Yacht is set to redefine ultra-luxury expedition cruising. At 26,500 gross tons, Scenic Ikon measures 672 feet (205 metres) in length with a 78-foot (24-metre) beam. Designed to accommodate up to 270 guests across 135 all-veranda suites, the vessel offers an impressive range of accommodation from 365 sq. ft (34 sqm) to an expansive 2,691 sq. ft (250 sqm) spread over five decks.
Purpose-built for both polar and warm-water exploration, Scenic Ikon is engineered to the highest standards. Rated Polar Code 6 and Ice Class 1A Super, it features a reinforced hull for exceptional versatility across diverse environments. Guests can look forward to the ultimate discovery experience, supported by two Airbus helicopters, a custom-designed Triton AVA submersible, a fleet of Zodiacs, and luxurious superyacht Fassmer tenders.

Construction of Scenic Ikon is already well underway, following the steel-cutting ceremony held in February and attended by Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. The keel laying is scheduled for May 2025, with the vessel on track for delivery at the end of 2027, ahead of final testing and entry into service.
The ship’s maiden voyage from Venice in April 2028 has already sold out, with subsequent sailings reporting exceptionally strong demand. During its inaugural season, running through March 2029, Scenic Ikon will visit 110 ports across 21 countries, introducing guests to 26 new destinations. Highlights include itineraries through the Mediterranean, Aegean and Egyptian coasts, the Cape Verde Islands, Dakar, Antarctica, the Falkland Islands, and the Chilean Fjords.
