BFI to light-up the big screen on Queen Anne. Film fans are in for a treat on Queen Anne. Not only does Cunard’s newest ship feature the fleet’s first-ever cinematic-sized LED screen – perfect for al fresco film screenings under the stars – Cunard will also be teaming up with the British Film Institute (BFI) to offer a choice of specially selected films on board every Queen Anne sailing.

Chosen by the BFI for Cunard, the unique line-up will update each month to offer new films for guests to enjoy. As well as showing in staterooms, selected films will also grace the big screen in Queen Anne’s new outdoor deck and entertainment space, The Pavilion, which features two bars, a deck grill, a gelateria, a wellness café, a fitness studio, hot tubs, and a swimming pool, over two levels.
The entire space sits under a retractable glass dome that will recline in warmer weather to allow for al fresco dining, swimming, sunbathing, and socialising under the sky. A destination for all seasons, The Pavilion will also host an ever-changing entertainment programme that will include silent discos, live bands, and theatre, in addition to exclusive film screenings brought to you by the BFI.
The Pavillion

From morning yoga stretches as the sun greets the sky to al fresco films under a spotlight of stars, The Pavilion is what life at sea is all about. Glide from your sun lounger to the gelateria. Cool off with a float in the pool or a freshly blitzed smoothie at the Wellness Café. Grab lunch at the deck grill. And sink into bubbling hot tubs that fizz like freshly popped champagne.
Open from sun up until late into the evening, this ambient outdoor space – complete with a retractable glass roof – evolves as the day unfurls. Bask in natural light and a buzzy, sociable, atmosphere during the day, against a backdrop of musical soundtracks on the big screen. Then, by night, discover a vibrant entertainment hub that ushers in the rhythm of the evening with its own stage, dance floor, and outdoor cinema.
How much (or how little) you do at The Pavilion is up to you. Perhaps you’ll greet the day with a gentle yoga class in the top deck studio, followed by a nutritious breakfast at the Wellness Café? Maybe you’ll dip between the pool and your sun lounger, pausing (momentarily) to enjoy a cocktail from one of the two bars? Then there’s the gelateria, offering all manner of creamy creations. Or the sizzling delights of the deck grill – just one option when it comes to lunch.
As the sun sets, iconic concerts from the world’s greatest recording artists light up the big screen, easing you into your evening. Then, as night falls, dappled lighting and the stars above work in perfect harmony, creating an invigorating setting to immerse yourself in a show or a live band.
Other evenings will offer the chance to dance at a silent disco, sipping your favourite drink as you dance the night away. Or perhaps to curl up under the stars for an al fresco film screening, courtesy of Cunard’s partnership with the British Film Institute (BFI). A unique selection of films is offered each month, available to view in your stateroom as well as at The Pavilion.
Ever-changing entertainment that lasts late into the evening. A choice of al fresco bars and eateries. Bubbling hot tubs and a picture-perfect blue pool. You’ll find so many ways to while away the day at The Pavilion. All of them under one roof.
