Cunard’s newest luxury ship, Queen Anne, has set sail on her highly anticipated 107-night maiden world voyage from Southampton, marking a significant milestone in the cruise line’s history. Departing at 9 PM on 9th January 2025, the event was celebrated with a dazzling fireworks display, drawing spectators from across the city to witness this historic moment.

The 3,000-guest Queen Anne will make her first American landfall in New York on January 17, continuing a tradition highlighting Cunard’s enduring connection to the city. New York holds a special place in Cunard’s legacy, having welcomed its ships and guests longer than any other destination.

This voyage places Queen Anne as the 14th ship in Cunard’s illustrious history to undertake a full world voyage. Significantly, she also becomes the largest Cunarder to complete a global circumnavigation. Over the course of 107 nights, the ship will visit 30 ports across 18 countries, including iconic destinations such as Miami, San Francisco, the Panama Canal, Honolulu, Auckland, Sydney, and Hong Kong. Crossing the International Date Line on February 12 is a particularly unique highlight of the journey, offering guests the rare experience of “jumping through time.”

The itinerary also includes overnight stops in New York, Honolulu, Sydney, and Singapore, before Queen Anne returns to Southampton on April 27.

Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, expressed her enthusiasm for this historic voyage: “This is a significant moment for Cunard as Queen Anne begins her maiden world voyage. It’s especially fitting that her first visit to the USA will be New York, a city that has long been at the heart of Cunard’s story. This voyage celebrates our heritage while offering guests the opportunity to explore the world in the style and luxury only Cunard can provide. Queen Anne truly reflects the evolution of our brand, and this journey will be an unforgettable experience for all on board.”

Guests aboard Queen Anne will enjoy an array of curated experiences, including world-class entertainment and a spectacular sailaway party. Celebrations will continue throughout the journey, featuring a special World Voyage cocktail party, a shoreside Gala Event, and enriching talks from renowned speakers. Notable guest speakers include Olympic gold medallist Rebecca Adlington OBE, hypnotist Paul McKenna, actor Charley Boorman, and former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash.
